Congratulations to Councillor Sidhu on his re-election as Ward 3 Councillor. Over the course of this campaign I knocked on more than 1,600 doors and spoke with hundreds of residents, and it was a truly memorable experience. I listened to the concerns people raised and what they hoped to see changed, and I appreciate everyone who took the time to share them with me. Thank you to those who supported me, and thank you to every candidate who put their name forward to help make the Township of Wilmot a better place.
Transparency. Fiscal responsibility. Community. Three values I will keep standing for in Ward 3 and across the Township of Wilmot.
I've called Waterloo Region home for 30 years, and for the past three and a half, Wilmot Township has been my community. With a background in technology, consulting, and real estate, I've spent my career solving problems and building relationships — skills our council table needs right now. When I'm not working, you'll find me outdoors with my two children, tending our bees and chickens, which has only deepened my appreciation for the land we're lucky to call home.
I ran because Ward 3 needs a strong, steady voice. After wild swings in our tax rate and budgeting decisions made too late, residents deserve a real plan they can see coming, not a headline every January. As pressure mounts on our farmland and groundwater, protecting these fragile resources remains important to me.
I will continue to care about transparency, fiscal responsibility, and genuine community input in Wilmot — for the neighbours here today, and for those who will call Ward 3 home after us.
Residents deserve to know what decisions are being made in their name, before they're finalized — not after.
Every dollar collected should be spent carefully, with a clear plan for the long term.
